I have left that server already, but many are still there. Not one person I knew when I started playing on Magic still plays there. They all left to other servers. I mean yeah, I quit retail but I still played every now and then to kill time. But now it is absolutely pointless to even touch this game in an environment where you can get muted for 24 hours or banned for 10 days for say using something in game that you weren't supposed to.
Most of the GMs and Global Mods are either ex-Wowscape GMs, or players from Wowscape. All of the stupid and pointless rules and punishments against players were brought from Wowscape as well. Just to give you a quick history of Magic in a few sentences, and why some people say it's the new Wowscape. Wowscape CEO, Payton, hired a new dev named Marcelo. Marcelo was working on scape for a while getting paid. Marcelo backed up all his work, and asked her for a promotion. Payton was furious and said no. Marcelo laughed and left while creating his own server named MagicWoW. All the scripts were dupicate of Wowscape and he just recruited a bunch of GMs from scape running Magic. Some were ex-GMs from Wowscape, the rest were players from Wowscape. Wowscape died, and most Wowscape players migrated to Magic. Fast forward to today... TADA!!! Wowscape 2.0. Welcome, enjoy your stay everyone!
Their forums are just as bad. If you look on the front page of the general chat, you'll see anywhere from 70 to 80% of the threads locked. Whenever you see a circle with an "X" across it, that means the topic is locked. Mod's name who locked it is either in Yellow or in Green on the right

Let me explain something. The Alliance faction on Magic is just like how the Alliance faction was on Wowscape. Horde pile up on top of each other outside of popular instances, and yell or /1 to find groups/members. Alliance however, are outnumbered. So they go to cities to find groups. But GMs kick, and mute people up to 5 days sometimes for "yelling". So more and more people on the Alliance are leaving the server because they just get shut down for trying to raid. LFGA is the channel GMs are pushing people to, but it's pointless just like it was pointless on Wowscape. I won't go into reasons because it will take up 2 pages of explaining, and most retards will come arguing with me from Magic who are in Horde favor. Those same retards, 95% of whom are GMs and the other 5% are Horde faction players with an IQ of a peanut, will never change their opinions neither will I change theirs.

how is Legacy btw? last thing I heard was one of Legacy's leaders merged with Magic. from what I understood, the entire server merged with Magic but I guess that's not the case. if Legacy joins with Magic they are just joining the powerhouse of all the ex-Wowscapers who do nothing but abuse the people on their realms.
honestly, if you are on Legacy and it's decent, stay there. all of new privates that are "blizz like" are similar. I haven't enjoyed playing LK on retail, what makes you think I would enjoy it playing on privates. all of the people I knew went to Molten though. I tried playing there and.. meh. It's okay. they have 4 servers and the only difference is xp/drop/etc.. rates. what a waste of servers. some days are okay, other days you gotta wait in queue to get in. queues can go up to 600 or even 800. so 30 mins in a line just to play the game. and they got their own bugs, etc.. I couldnt even purchase reagents as a mage because its always "sold out". Another thing I heard from 1 guy was that the guy who runs Molten backstabbed his friend on Neverendless and stole donation money. Then he used that $ to open up Molten. Not sure if that's true, but that's what I heard.
I been looking around for some classic or BC realms to join. So far I found a good vanilla named Feenix - http://pretbc.feenix.nl/index.htm and a BC server Crogges WoW - http://www.croggesserver.com/

Pros: mid-xp rate. id guess its about 20x so its great because no way in hell im leveling on privates w/ retail rates.
cons: 100+ players online at a time. it may look bad, but that's actually the most you will ever find. other vanilla realms are like a desert.

Pros: I was told it's well populated. 1k and up players online.
Cons: 1x xp rates. booo! if I wanted retail rates id go level on retail.
Then again, I looked around and this seems to be the best 2.4.3 realm you'll find and it's not some wowscape/magic scripts type crap.

these GM abuses only effect one faction, the Alliance. this was the problem on Wowscape, and it now problem on magic. GMs dont even realize this nor do they care because they are so set on getting it their way "no yelling in Dalara". just like it was "no yelling in SW" back on scape.
where Horde are situated physically and can get into groups, there is no muting penalties. places are outside of instances due to more Horde on the server. outside of Ulduar and Naxx as of today. they can '/yell LFM etc..' or spam general chat '/1 LFM etc..' for neither which they get penalized. getting members for Horde this way is easiest, and quickest. Alliance however get muted where the only MAIN place they are situated in physically is Dalaran. for Alliance Dala is the easiest, and quickest way to find a group/members, but they get shut down whenever mods do a mass mute sessions, which happens quiet often.
Horde get muted for yelling in Dala too, but rarely because much less of them spam there. I seen 1 horde got muted for 5 days, so it does happen. It just happens like 5-10% of the time compared to Alliance faction.
All of my friends left the server, and I saw some say on the forums that many Alliance re-rolled and are now Horde because it is extremely difficult to be Ally and deal with GM abuse. but if I were them, I'd just leave the shitty realm Magiccrap and find another private to play on. but that's just me. by staying, and playing on their server, you're just supporting their immature behavior. no amount of bitching and rebelling them on the forums will help. you'll just empower them by having all your threads locked, with you receiving a warning, followed by a ban.

Like I've said there is much room for improvement, there are mistakes, things could definitely be better, but hey its just a game! You can NEVER compare private servers to Blizzard, that would be stupid, but magic-wow at least comes close.

Na malo ulja izdinstajte nasitno narezani luk, pa dodajte mljeveno meso i podlijte sa malo vode.
Dinstajte 15 minuta dodavajući začine po želji.
Pripremite paket kora za štrudlu. Izaberite način kako ćete pripremiti burek: slaganjem u tepsiju ili motanjem u štrucu.
Uzmite jednu koru za štrudlu i stavite ju na dno tepsije, na nju rasporedite malo mesa, pa ponovo kora, pa opet meso i ponavljajte sve dok imate materijala. Ukoliko volite motani burek, nakon što stavite malo mesa na koru zarolajte ju u dugačku cijev koju ćete tek tada staviti u tepsiju.

Than we should stop posting shits about ppl you don't know cuz believe me it is not fun at all to be a GM - it is full time job. And of course GMs can't make all players happy - like in real life. Moreover if there are rules and you are bored with following them in real life you will be punished as well as in game and as Demosii and Achelia pointed out those rules should be read and followed.
But as usual it is easy to blame someone else for your mistakes.
My point of view is: the ban is for the purpose to teach you to play fair ( you know like game in real life) so if you are banned it should be time for you to stay a side and think about the reason of the ban or what ever the punishment is.
In conclusion: There are different ppl in the World and that game in particular is played by all ppl from different parts of the that World and which makes it very very very very difficult to be equal for all. The rules in the server are made for that and if you don't like them or a GM or whatever you are free to go. No one points a gun to your head so you are free to go. I can see that you are totally bored from real life and thats why you are posting shits about other ppl and moreover ppl who can't see you are even know you so that there is no threat about it. But as i said you are free to have a voice no matter that those shits are not half right ;)

I have seen people get muted for role playing, or talking in 3rd person view. these abuses are there just to entertain and empower those in power on Magic.
Fact #3 - staff ass lickers are in full effect on magic forums and in game, just like they were on Wowscape. most don't really know what is going on, but they defend staff and act like everything is okay, when it's not.
these retards who constantly defend staff's abuses and their idiotic behavior always try to bend the truth and act like what people are saying is somehow lies.
you all can argue about magic being some perfect server, but there will be people who have been abused and mistreated by the staff. those people can come forth and state their experiences here without someone deleting their comments, and banning them for a week for "server bashing". saying that the server is bad and that staff abuses people will get you 1 or 2 week ban on the forums. if that's not abuse, then i dont know what is.

It has PvE just like back on scape, BT, SWP, Hyjal, Kara, etc.. Arena, BGs, and most importantly WORLD PVP! There is a guild named League of Heroes on Alliance side. They do Orgrimmar raids every single day. Horde does SW raids too! World PvP in Outland, STV, etc.. up to almost 2k players online at peak hours. no asshole faggot GMs like on Magicwow/Wowscape who treat the population like shit. It's a totally different community and different developers. Bosses are scripted, and everything. it is probably the best server you will find at the moment if you are looking for some Wowcrack/legion type experience in PvP, PvE, and FUNNNNNNNNNNN!
Unless you want to play Lich King where people are busy doing billion things and never want to PvP outside of Arena, come and join us.

Any private server in my opinion one way or another is pathetic to somewhat degree. Lets face it. People love abusing once they get power and will abuse it until it gets taken away from them. But one thing is for certain. In reality they have no power and are human beings like everyone else. So really no point in getting pissed over a game.

Magicwow has the dumbest rules of all the privates I played on. All of my guildies agreed. things that are legal on retail, aren't legal on this sack of shit server.
yelling-perfectly legal on retail unless you spam 3-5 lines over and over. then you get reported. but spamming in cities is not an offense. on magic they were first muting people anywhere from 2 hours to 7 days (i saw they gave a 1 month mute), and now they completely disabled yelling in any sanctuary with a script. so you can only /s. idiots!
arena point farming-losing 10 games on purpose is completely legal on retail and everyone does it who hate arena. on magic? no, you are breaking the rules and will be punished. i farmed the gear and didn't even know that until a guildie pointed it out to me and admitted it was a dumb rule. you get in trouble on the server for the stupidest shit.
and i like servers that are spank and tank. i dont come to waste my life on privates to down a boss for 5 hours. i come there to get quick gear, and enjoy the rest of my free time there.

If you don't like the server, don't play on it. Private servers are prone to corruption no matter where you go; The only ones where you don't see that are the ones that pay their GMs to do what they do. Wheras you lose money if you try to be a power tyrant with those kind of positions, to try and destroy things. Joker said it best; give someone power and tell him nothing will happen to him if he misuses it, and tell me how many people refuse to abuse it over time.

My note - Runeic took my personal info, such as e-mail, IP etc., that he got from magic-wow and pictures, that he got from a guild website, and posted all of it on 4chan with a reason that I m looking for a gay partner and there s also some racism. He was brutally punished for that, 2 weeks demotion to molten realm. (All this punishment happened after 2 months of trying to reach Marcelo, Zwerg, or trying to talk to Holyhorror or Trier, while everyone ignored it)

If you re gonna bee disrespecting ppz, I ll kill you mofa" (Ofc it s not like that, the post was deleted like 2 seconds after, so I couldn t word-by-word it..., but those insults from Staff are pretty much exact). The Staff replies, mainly Trier and mods are unprofessional and based on healing they IRL wounds, such as "Think before posting such shit you douchebag. What these kids come up these days, crazy" ~Trier (the guy asked when s a Cata comming out, I know it was asked bilion times, but calling him a douchebag or retard ? Like a baws....)

It was very interesting for me too, to read the forums back on Wowscape and Magic. There would be Global mobs.. i mean mods roaming around trolling (if you constantly close threads for NO reason, you are a troll in my book) and saying anything they'd please, people speaking up against their abuses and get banned, and the ass kissers of the Global retards would come in to comment... "STFU!!!!! nice job on scripting Wolfy! if you dont like Wolfy's scripting GTFO! no one asks you to stay here, NOOB!". while damn near everyone knew Wolfy ruined the entire server. on Magic same crap. ass kissers backing up staff and staff feeling good that someone is co-siding with them. and now this character Melz in here trying to make it look like IM the bad guy. that's exactly what I was talking about. they just twist the truth and try to make it look like the population that has been abused and shitted on in every way is the problem, not the abusers.
Leave Magic, people! there is plenty of servers out there to chose from, whether it is Molten WoW, Eternal WoW or anything else.
I personally preferred Eternal's 255 fun server the last 6 months of my WoW life because I got SICK AND TIRED of Blizz-like. but whatever, do you. find a server with nice and respectful staff that don't enforce ass backwards rules, and play there. leave Magic, and leave the Wowscape population behind of all the ignorant kids and staff. or stay there and put up with the same crap.

The other one s getting prolly closed... it s about this guy that has probs with Trier... I don t even care anymore, it s just fun to watch Magic going down. magic today is fking dead finally...they never listened...so was the inevitable death...those fkin morons thought they r the leaders and they will shape a true private wow, but hack with their discipline...they are people who live in the paradise of fools! they forgot that in a free server players want more freedom..why wud they come to private if they wanted blizzlike, we can pay 15$ bill on retail..the logic was to run a free server with maximum retail content and freedom incuding hacks! we like doing a bit of hacking, it didnt hurt the server when it was there, but it did when it was banned.
It always felt like there was a big fat lesbian german lady watching my back when I played on magic. anyway, I think it was thier incompetence that finally broke the camles back with entire guild vaults being cleared out and similar happening more than once. The best server now? is the #1 on the voting lists... no GM celebrities, no kicks and thus no attention whores in global chat.
