As a Man Thinketh by James Allen. An interesting little book. It is only 32 pages, and you could read it in one sitting. But I had to pause and take the information in; I read this book two times before writing this review. I really enjoyed it. This book was released in 1902, before any of this Law of Attraction that's in the mainstream today. But that's what this book is about. Your thoughts, and the consequences of them. With thoughts, you create and shape your life and reality that you live in.
I really believe in this. Even at birth, your soul chooses the body, and the path it will walk on. Many people like to blame others for their circumstance, but the circumstance was created by the person in order for him to overcome whatever barriers he set for himself. Once you overcome those barriers, you grow stronger, gain more experience, and become wiser. That is just my take on it, but the book is also spiritual and talks about basic laws and principles of the universe, in the physical world and beyond.
Thoughts, visions, and dreams. These three elements are how you could get yourself out of the circumstance you're in. First, it is the thoughts that you must change. Negative thoughts and judging others will only bring you negative people. I actually see this at work all the time. People of low vibrations 'find' each other. Same goes for people of high vibrations. Like attracts like. I see this happen ALL THE TIME! Then comes the vision. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? If you have no vision, it would be hard to make changes. Then comes the dreams. People with big dreams, accomplish big things. This is what I got from the book. It is short, and sweet. But it is also deep and thought provoking. This is a great little book for anyone looking to change his life, and getting better at living. I highly recommend it to all the self-help junkies. 4.5 stars out of 5!
